Erica Motter is a Research Assistant for the Concurrent Hospice-Dialysis Project Team at the PaRC. Erica studied print journalism for her undergraduate degree and has worked as a freelance writer and photographer. In 2019, she obtained her MA in Academic Research Psychology from Humboldt State University, where she conducted thesis work examining the effects of oral contraceptives on women’s moods. She hopes to earn a PhD in clinical psychology and work as a clinician, educator, and writer. She sees palliative care and chronic illness research as a rich area in which to study human responses to challenging life events, and enjoys learning from the people she encounters every day.
