Administrative Program Manager
Maria Belin is the Palliative Research Center Administrative Program Manager and brings to the role seven years of non-profit experience. She holds a Master’s in Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.A. from Duquesne University. As a past administrator, librarian, and neighborhood library manager at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, she developed and led library services in the Oakland, Squirrel Hill, Beechview, and Hill District communities. More recently, Maria managed operations and communications for a local small business. She focused on policy development, quality control, process improvement, personnel growth and training, and communications strategy and implementation. Maria is also passionate about disability awareness and accessibility advocacy. She served for several years on the board of Open Up Pittsburgh and is a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
