Program Manager, Ethics and Decision-Making in Critical Illness

Rachel Butler is the program manager of the Program on Ethics and Decision-Making in Critical Illness in the Department of Critical Care Medicine. She provides leadership, tactical management, administration, and scientific collaboration for several single-center and multicenter clinical trials. Rachel holds a Bachelor’s in Health Administration from Indiana University Bloomington and dual Master’s degrees in Health Administration and Public Health from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. She is pursuing a PhD in Health Services Research and Policy at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health, where she focuses on improving care and medical decision-making for seriously ill older adults and their families.
