Sarah began as a student research assistant at the Center for Research on Healthcare during her freshman year in college at the University of Pittsburgh. During her undergraduate years, she worked on various studies like WISE and the Story Booth project, in which she completed data entry and administrative tasks. Sarah graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in Spring 2021 with a BS in Biological Sciences and a minor in Chemistry. Recently, she has joined Dr. Jessie Merlin’s team as a research assistant to study topics of chronic pain and opioid addiction. Sarah is a part of CHAMPP, TREETOP, and Dr. Merlin’s most recent R01 studying chronic pain in metastatic cancer patients. She has also joined on Dr. Hailey Bulls’ AtTACC Pain study to run assessments and complete data entry. She plans on continuing her education at the University of Pittsburgh in the following years.
